Established in 1975 by a group of local history enthusiasts, the Broadmeadows Historical Society was established to collect and record the history of the district. The Society continues to be operated by a dedicated group of volunteers who conduct research, design and establish exhibitions in the Museum, and produce publications.
The Society’s collection is housed at the Broadmeadows Museum on Pearcedale Parade, Broadmeadows.
Broadmeadows Historical Society acknowledges the people of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, including the past and existing family members of the Wurundjeri-Willam, as the traditional custodians of this land.
We embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living cultures as a vital part of Australia’s identity and recognise, celebrate and pay respect to Elders past, present and future.
