Broadmeadows Museum

The Broadmeadows Museum, located next to the Broadmeadows Town Park, is a purpose-built facility. Its construction was partially funded by a Federal Government Grant, via the Victorian Bi-Centennial Committee in 1988. The balance of funds came from the City of Broadmeadows, and fundraising events conducted by members of the Broadmeadows Historical Society.

The museum was built in the ‘colonial style’ and was opened in 1991. The Museum houses the collection of the Historical Society, which is stored and displayed under climate-controlled conditions.

The museum consists of a central display space, audio visual facilities, an archive room with storage compacters and storage for the map collection.
